Description
As you have undoubtedly noticed, I do not label my work or, for that matter, write a description. I have done this in the past. I soon realized, however, that this directed the viewer and steered them in one particular direction or another. As I have evolved as an artist, I have let go of the need to do this as I want the witness to have more control over what they see and, as a result, what they feel. It is feelings and emotions that I wish to evoke. As such, if labels, phrases, explanations are present, these curtail such an experience, and I have lost the possibility of an intimate connection with a viewer.
